I keep getting "waiting for proxy tunnel" when selecting many web sites. When I go to LAN settings and un-check Automatically Check Setting and the Proxy Server check box is un-ticked Chrome works as it should. However when I quit Chrome and restart it the Auto Check Setting is reticked and Chrome does not connect to these sites. Fix: Google Chrome “Waiting for Proxy Tunnel”. To fix the problem, disable auto-proxy discover setting using these steps: Right-click Start, click Run. Type inetcpl.cpl and click OK. Select the Connections tab. Click LAN settings. Uncheck “Automatically detect settings”. Click OK.
