HI, Does the xbox 360 built in wireless adapter support the 5Ghz wireless connection on my 3700 router? I can connect to the 2.4Ghz okay. I know it's working as I can connect my iPad 3 to the 5Ghz with no problems! Cheers

Sep 05, 2009 · I have the wireless Belkin N router.. i have my main computer and laptop connected to that network.. and i recently tried hardwiring my xbox 360 to the router the 360 will not even connect to the internet and when i try troubleshooting it says a network is not detected Okay just got this router. My son has an xbox 360 and it will connect to the wifi but when he goes to play a live game it says no internet. So i used the ethernet cable and hooked that right to it but made no difference. I looked around here and tried to find a solution but couldn't. The Xbox sees the wireless network but when it tries to connect it is not getting a valid IP address. That is why I tried assigning a static IP to the Xbox but that didn't work either as it still required a router reboot to connect to the router. I recently got a new router, and am unable to connect to Xbox LIVE using it. When I run the network test, it tells me that it can't connect to the router and/or modem. I had to do I lot of fiddling with IP Adresses, Gateways and stuff before I got this new router working.

"I have an idea to try that involves someone who has an Xbox 360 and Xfinity the does connect, and basically going through line by line of the manual settings and helping me locate the same numbers for my router.
